When everyone has a megaphone, it’s impossible for anyone to be heard.

Philip Bump talks about two projects to get oneself heard on Twitter: http://pandodaily.com/2012/04/12/how-to-win-the-attention-lottery/

These projects are both like "attention lotteries" -- in each case, the winners get a lot of followers while most people get nothing.

Which is a reminder of how hard it is to build a following in 2012.

Not for whales (celebrities) but for normal people.

It's hard. It's really, really hard.

Normal Twitter citizens rarely follow new people.

Which makes me wonder if having a voice on Twitter is winner-take-all.
