Are publicly visible résumés on Linked In more honest than paper ones?

In general I wonder if saying things in public tends to be more honest for things that can be verified (e.g., what we've done) and less honest about aspirational things (e.g., things we want other people to believe are interesting to us).

LinkedIn has also more social credit. A resume in a way cannot be instantly referenced in realtime.
