Why LinkedIn may have jumped the shark

With no way to block an individual or a group in any meaningful way, they've completely destroyed the value of the group.

Okay, so maybe they are changing the culture at LinkedIn, but are they changing the appeal?

My favorite quote of the day: But revolutions, in the end, will be judged primarily by what they build, not what they destroy.

So what are these technology loving youngins looking to do? It sounds like they are all goaled towards increasing revenue through premium subscriptions. I'd be happy to pay for a premium subscription, but the cost is pretty extreme right now and premium subscriptions should free you from the mental complexity of keeping track of things rather than trying to always determine what's covered and what's not--what's worth it and what's not.
