We've talked about the importance of sleep - Now: How Exercise Fuels the Brain

Between heavy programming workloads or just our hectic schedules, we can easily make excuses for skipping the gym or doing some exercising. Here's another reason why that might not be so helpful to our productivity and creativity:

“it is tempting to suggest that increased storage and utility of brain glycogen in the cortex and hippocampus might be involved in the development” of a better, sharper brain.

It doesn't surprise me that sleep and exercise are conducive to productivity.
