Review of a new book by Luigi Zingales of the University of Chicago business school, on how to restore competition to American capitalism.
The article says: "The best way to prevent lobbying, he argues, is to introduce a law eliminating subsidies to industry, supported by giving citizens a right to sue to recover the cost of subsidies paid unfairly."
It seems like the existing power structure would resist this by any means necessary.
