Most logo design changes were to simplify and to improve for smart phones.

DC Entertainment's new logo (yay Comics!) above is an example of that.

This worked well for Stanford University but was a disaster for Cal.

eBay and Microsoft also benefited from the streamlining.

Domino's dropped Pizza from its logo and JC Penney shortened to JCP.

Twitter turned up its bird. Comcast added the NBC Peacock.

Lifetime gave its logo more life. USA Today dumbed down its logo.

Wendy's, Arby's, Quaker, and WeightWatchers made their logos skinnier.

And Jaguar made its logo more luxurious.
