There are some startups that like to manage for social impact as well as financial impact.

I believe the two can be compatible with some missions, Louise.

Fred Wilson has a great line in that Ki Mae Heussner article:

“When you think about these large Internet-based businesses… it’s the activity of the people on the platform that creates the value,” he said. ”The goodwill of the community, in large measure, [contributes to] the success of the company.”

I believe that the best companies can do well by doing good.
