Very clear explanation of the style of hockey we're seeing in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
One factor he doesn't really mention: the referees allow a lot of contact from the defensive-minded teams! There have been a lot of injuries late in the season and in the first round of the Playoffs.
I'm so bored with this style of play I can't even watch the games.
And yes, the referees seem to be ignoring a lot of calls. That's a secular trend in the league, it seems.
