I used to use CoComment but when I found Disqus, it became defacto.
Disqus claiming a billion monthly readers seems like a vanity metric.
Billion is the new Black!
How many of that billion would notice if Disqus disappeared?
i think a significant portion would be annoyed they'd have to log in/register for a new comment service. i bet a significant portion adopted Disqus to collect all their commenting activity in one place.
Funny, I feel the opposite. When I see Disqus I DON'T log in unless I have something I HAVE to say.
DEFINITELY. I hate logging in period, especially having to register just to leave what is essentially a minuscule comment. Logging in is for extended interactions.. like Pandawhale! :/
btw, is there any way to auto-login/perma-authorize with Pandawhale?
