One word: ouch. Once inflation rears it's ugly head, it'll be a bloodletting. Not to mention foreign markets that are more attractive to investors. The US seems on a rush to make the US, except for cheap real estate, completely unattractive to anyone with anything to invest--from the richest down to the retiree.
If I had any money, I would not be putting it in U.S. bonds right now.
I agree, it's a disaster playing out in slow motion.
