Slow-Cooked Green and Yellow Beans Recipe

Something like a spaghetti alla puttanesca, but with a large amount of green beans rather than pasta.
In general replacing carbs with vegetables is a good thing.
Forgiving recipes are the bestest! I recently tried to make a half-batch of this, but due to poor arithmetic ended up using the full amount of onion, garlic, tomato, and water. After eating a lot of the beans, I decided to simmer some Alaska cod in the remaining sauce... and guess what, it was so awesome!
