I'm still skeptical. It only works if the employee wants it to work:
The coaching style makes little sense when employees, for whatever reason, are resistant to learning or changing their ways.
Yep, it may not always work, but it's one of the styles a leader should have in the arsenal. I believe a good leader should have multiple styles at his (her) disposal and is able to utilize the one that is most appropriate for the people and situation.
