Dear J.J. Abrams, Four Rules the New ‘Star Wars’ Films Should Follow

Sincerely Truman has released a beautifully animated video that presents “4 Rules to Make Star Wars Great Again.” The video asks director J.J. Abrams and the team behind the upcoming Star Wars films to remember:

1) the setting is the frontier

2) the future is old

3) the Force is mysterious

4) Star Wars isn’t cute.

If the online petition hits one million signatures, the group plans to visit Disney headquarters in Burbank to hand-deliver the petition and a copy of the animation.

Star Wars episode I is in violation of rule 3.

Mitichlorians? Really??

horrible movie, we can all agree

So for movie 7 to be good it has to capture the spirit of 4 and 5.

And be nothing like episode 1.

Episode 7: Mission Accomplished.

So far I've loved JJ's reboot of the Star Trek franchise... maybe he can reinvigorate and de-laminate the shit-patina of Jar-Jar in the Star Wars franchise too.

Yes. Take the JJ out of Jar-Jar and it's just ar-ar ...
