The Apple Store Down for the count

So I've been trying to get my ios7 iphone5 to connect to my work computer so it can charge.  It's a Saucy Salamander ubuntu 13.10 machine.  Also, I have an Infiniti with a USB port.  Neither charge my phone and in fact one goes into an endless "Trust this computer?" loop.  I've been racking my brains, but it turns out that it's 3 different iphone5 cords that I got off of Ebay that were Chinese manufactured. Apparently Apple must put some sort of secret chip or material in their "official" cords.  Finally I break down and decide I'm going to pay full price for a replacement USB cord as I have one that I know works fine.

Voila, Apple store is down for the count.

Oh, free OS and work software, new ipad.

I guess the biggest question is still, will they allow my purchased and licensed OSX to run in VMware?

No one wants to see the Apple store up more than Apple.

Every minute they're down they lose a lot of money.
