Crossing the Chasm with Big Seed Marketing

Wondering if Big Seed Marketing if implemented in the right streams (Facebook Open Graph) can make crossing the chasm an easier thing to do?
p.s - I especially like the comments section as the focus is on TV as the vehicle for this. Oh how things have changed in 2 years.
Nobody has tried anything close to this with Open Graph yet.
The closest thing to it has been Viddy, Socialcam, and Chill using Open Graph to display videos people were watching automatically.
And I believe Facebook has since shut down that viral marketing channel.
Great as a one-time stunt, but not repeatable.
maybe thats all you need if you have viral hooks in place.
