Ipod triumphs as Shaun White fails

Stashed in: Olympics!, #YOLO

Ipod vs The Flying Tomato.  The Ipod threw down something called the YOLO.

The American, nicknamed The Flying Tomato, was the red-hot favourite to add another crown to the ones he won at Turin 2006 and Vancouver four years later, but the 27-year-old could only finish fourth.

Instead it was crowd favourite Podladtchikov, aka IPod, who took the glory, with Japanese 15-year-old prodigy Ayumu Hirano earning silver and his compatriot Taku Hiraoka bronze.

Poor Shaun White. Yesterday I wrote down something he said ealier that day:

It's the day before the big day. The only comfort I have right now is that I can't stop time. At some point I'm gonna be standing at the top and someone is gonna say GO, and I have to do it. ~Shaun White

He has become mortal like the rest of us. He experiences pain and fear and frustration and defeat.

It will be good for his character, but he must really be hurting right now.

Btw, thanks for that video but you know the Olympic committee will kill it as soon as they find it.

That's why we keep our eyes open for stellar gifs!

That's an X-Games video from March or something.  But stellar gifs are the greatest!  :)

Oh cool. And yes they are!
