Ashie S Hirji stashed this in Heartbleed

- I BELIEVE THERE IS A NEED FOR A SOLUTION FROM AN END POINT OF VIEW TO KEEP USERS INFORMATION PROTECTED and SAFE! PRIVACY IS A CRITICAL ISSUE THESE DAYS.. PRIORITY IN THE DIGITAL AGE CONCERNING ALL INNOCENT USERS BRIDGING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE. THINK ABOUT IT.... IF SOME ONE STOLE OUR WALLET OR BROKE INTO OUR HOME this would be something we would not tolerate...it would a VIOLATION OF OUR HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUE AND WOULD YOU NOT BE UPSET???.... SO WHY ARE WE NOT DOING SOMETHING ABOUT OUR DIGITAL RIGHTS from an end point of view to protect ourselves. OUR INFORMATION IS BEING COMPROMISED all the time and at the same time being sold to third party for profits ... AS USERS OF THEIR TECHNOLOGY ? WE GIVE OUR INFORMATION SO FAST ONLINE AND WE NEVER QUESTION IF OUR DATA IS PROTECTED?
I didn't know RCMP is royal Canadian mounted police.
Anyway, it sounds like this kid was stealing identities using the heartbleed exploitation.
It's good they arrested him, right?
Yes re RCMP. In regards to the young men being arrested he turned himself up, although the point for me is that it was pretty obvious he proved how easy it was to hack and get information http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/who-is-the-cra-heartbleed-hacking-suspect-1.1780093 I am confident and know one company that can solve this issues by using their superior technology that cannot be compromised.
I may be sounding like a broken record at times I really do? consider this - he proved he could hack and get those social insurance numbers (users identity) Users give so much information online and on many government websites ...CRA needs to protect their users not everyone is technical savvy when it comes to online stuff and our information is and can be compromised, as innocent users we are being compromised, when it comes to the digital age and using many of these technology platforms and devices... from an end point of view we have no protection, privacy nor safety rights from many levels as we bridge the divide. I could scream out till the cows come home ... as civil society we much demand for our digital rights and many global organizations and technology companies MUST protect us and our information and look at solutions that are available or look at tech companies that can solve our end point rights...I believe there is a need for this. At times I feel many of these companies focus on monetary cost rather than protecting their users.
