Social Progress Index 2014 with Interactive Map

Still, that leaves a lot of room for improvement, right?
That's the positive take ;) I'm curious what we were in 2013? Are we slipping further? or improving?
This is a new survey so there's no historical data:
A: Social Progress Index 2013 was a beta version that we put out for testing with a limited sample of 50 countries. We received excellent feedback from scholars of many disciplines, policy-makers, and civil society leaders. The basic 12-component structure of the model is therefore basically unchanged. However, in the last 12 months we have received great support in adding indicators, such as traffic deaths, suicide rate, and slavery, and refining indicators, such as measuring water withdrawals per capita as a proportion of resources. As a result, the 2014 Index is much stronger but the results are not comparable to 2013. Explore the Social Progress Index 2014 here.
OK, guess we need to wait another year. I bet there is still a way to compare, one just has to have all the numbers, and pull out the newly added stuff from this year. I'm guessing they don't want to compare it, for some reason?
They don't want to but others probably do. Will keep my eyes open for other studies.
