Why Top Execs are Starting to Care About UX Design
Christina Wodtke stashed this in Design
Interested if the community sees relevance in this. JJG is a smart guy, but this interview seems very focused toward huge companies (those who might have a Chief Innovation Officer... really?)
Answer: because Apple is one of the most valuable companies in the world; given that top execs often focus on improving the bottom line, it seems folks would intend to emulate the Apple approach in order to improve their bottom line.
Perhaps I'm cynical, but when I hear an investor or "top exec" talk about design, it always rings hollow as a way of saying: "maybe if we had better design/UX, we could get more users/engagement; therefore, we could make/raise more money."
