I think that a big thing that a lot of people seem to be missing is that 99% of LOUIE is a self-commentary by Louis C.K. He is not trying to make all of the fit people out there who aren't attracted to fat girls feel bad for it. What the conversation is about is about guys who ARE ALSO FAT not being even willing to entertain the idea of being with a fat girl to the point that they won't even flirt with them. It's about making your mirror image feel inferior to you so that you can hold yourself up to some level in the dating world that is not completely realistic. Everyone who is upset over the part of the scene where she is expressing how much it sucks to be a fat girl completely missed the point of the second half of the scene. Why shouldn't a fat guy like Louie, who is doing nothing to improve his physical condition, take a chance at getting to know this chick who he obviously likes talking to? Because, like a lot of other people, he is scared of being seen as a guy that can't do any better for himself.
The point is that people miss out on a lot of good people in life because they just are scared of perception.
