Good Bye Cruel Intertubes

I posted the old Isis TV character instead of decapitated  babies and heads on fences.

I have been writing on the Internet in various forms for nearly 20 years. I "met" IFindKarma on the Mötley Fool and have kept an eye on Adam since he was a happy optimist and traded CMGI stock. My first set of posts were about how we were entering into a period of central bank economic wars and real wars.  Of course I was scoffed at during the .com boom.

I have never wanted to be part of this society in a normal way. The universe and my deities protect me and provide.  I get by teaching here and there never anywhere for more than a year or so.

On 9-11 I was in front of my trade station and instantly wrote.  That's it we are fucked.  To paraphrase.  I walked around the quiet streets of Pittsburgh.  A year ago a Tibetan told me he had a dream on 9-10 that he saw the towers fall. He had never even heard of them until he found a TV that day.

I wrote about how Afghanistan and  Iraq were going to be disasters in the weeks following.  On the night of the start of the Iraq war I was in a hotel at Dulles airport. (Ironic if you know the Dulles brothers)

A little over a year ago as the wars were winding down, I started writing about how they are just starting.  Today the headless babies hit my twitter feed.

There is nothing left.  The fire has taken hold and it will burn out when it burns out.   There is no managing it any more.  I am as close to heart broken as a tulku can get.

Ok this guy is crazy and full of shit narcissist that thinks he is the Dalai Lama.  Fine.  It is not the first time someone said that to me as I explained their life and how it was going to progress.

So forget about me.  Here is the DL on 9-12.

It was a nice thought but we all knew it was not going to be heard.

The Dalai Lama's letter to the President of the United States of America

Your Excellency,

I am deeply shocked by the terrorist attacks that took place involving four apparently hijacked aircrafts and the immense devastation these caused. It is a terrible tragedy that so many innocent lives have been lost and it seems unbelievable that anyone would choose to target the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington D.C. We are deeply saddened. On behalf of the Tibetan people I would like to convey our deepest condolence and solidarity with the American people during this painful time. Our prayers go out to the many who have lost their lives, those who have been injured and the many more who have been traumatized by this senseless act of violence. I am attending a special prayer for the United States and it's people at our main temple today.

I am confident that the United States as a great and powerful nation will be able to overcome this present tragedy. The American people have shown their resilience, courage and determination when faced with such difficult and sad situation.

It may seem presumptuous on my part, but I personally believe we need to think seriously whether a violent action is the right thing to do and in the greater interest of the nation and people in the long run. I believe violence will only increase the cycle of violence. But how do we deal with hatred and anger, which are often the root causes of such senseless violence? This is a very difficult question, especially when it concerns a nation and we have certain fixed conceptions of how to deal with such attacks. I am sure that you will make the right decision.

With my prayers and good wishes The Dalai Lama September 12, 2001 Dharamsala, India

He did not believe the right decision would be made.  He was being his polite self.  The collective world has not made the right decisions for a very long time and the last 15 years have been atrocious in the clearest sense of the word.

He questions his return after death.   I am on the fence about mine as 60 more years of this is a long time, things can change.

That said, no pictures of dead children while I am holding my little boy and girl.

So good bye cruel Internet.  When the wars are over and the dead are in the millions, The great living masters are gone.  You can find me and I will point you to people that can help.  Until then it is out of our influence.  My master told me to let it go the karma has to exhaust.

May you find you true nature of mind.   Protip you won't find it conversing with others in life or virtually online.

Good luck

I share your frustration that people hurt other people all over the world.

I will do what I can to make the world a better place.

Violent action is not a good response to violent action.
