Two thirds of the world's billionaires made their fortunes from scratch.
Adam Rifkin stashed this in Billions!
Stashed in: Wealth!
I'm not sure what the definition of "from scratch" is.
But it's clear that there's a lot of money that can be made if you work really hard and get lucky.
so they _did_ build it? lol
But they did have the determination to make sure they got paid. :)
So where does one get this "scratch"? Can I buy it in stores? :P
You know that scratch is just another word for money.
You only need $30M to be considered super-rich. http://blogs.wsj.com/wealth/2008/04/11/earners-vs-heirs/PNC Wealth Management recently polled about 1,500 Americans with $500,000 or more in investible assets and found that 69% of respondents made most of their fortune through work, business ownership or investments. Only 6% made their wealth by inheriting it, while 25% made it through a combination of inheritance and earnings.
So George Romney was work.
Mitt Romney is inheritance and earnings.
The 5 Romney boys are inheriting only.
Although once you inherit enough you're "earning" annually through investments and dividends, right?
