77 year old grandma deadlifts 215 pounds

Hahaha, I love it that she started weight training so she could "dust those ladies" in competitive track and field!!! But also she is such a fantastic example of the mental and physical benefits of training. For one thing, she has the "can do" attitude that you need when you step up to a big barbell. But also she eloquently describes the real-life benefits of training: being able to shovel her own snow, push her car if it gets stuck, lift her grandchildren, and carry her own groceries. She could probably dust any of those young grocery store baggers who offer to help carry her groceries to the car!
Am I correct that lifting twice her weight is a big deal that required lots of training?
She's an inspiration. It's never too late to start lifting.
