Elepants are people, too (they just might be happier)
Geege Schuman stashed this in Elephants
I remember something Pat said earlier about how elephants are like humans in that everyday they need to groom, go for a walk, eat, bathe, see their family, and play with their friends. This just doesn’t happen in a natural way at a zoo. But we do all of that and more with them, and it fills me with joy to see how happy and quirky they all are.
In that sense they're like most mammals -- no need to anthropomorphize them.
Still, those photos are adorable!
