World's greatest job? Meet Brit in charge of Sir Richard Branson's Island...
Gregory Alan Bolcer stashed this in Dangerous Decisions
They should have hired a lifeguard/fire chief instead of a water sports instructor.
So he went from swimming instructor to general manager of the resort?!
It’s a little piece of paradise reserved for the filthy rich, the super famous and the most esteemed leaders of state - but Kenny Jones calls it his office.
The Welshman is general manager at Necker Island, the holiday retreat owned by billionaire businessman Richard Branson and visited by the likes of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, Nelson Mandela- and, more recently, Harry Styles.
Having originally fallen in love with messing about on the River Towy, Kenny thought he’d landed his dream job as a water sports instructor on the British Virgin Island.
But with Sir Richard Branson as his first student, he found himself climbing the employment ladder, reports Wales Online.
Kenny has now been the resort’s general manager for a decade, a far cry from home in Llandeilo, on the foothills of the Brecon Beacons.
