Corruption is an ugly word, and one that Americans have always prided themselves upon rejecting in our government. The problem is that we still think of corruption as personal relationships -- the son of a dictator getting bribes to influence his father -- rather than as big business, ENTIRELY mediated by whose money is green rather than who went to school with who.
