The subtext of this article is that Big Pharma won't pursue treatments for depression that are unpatentable and work in one dose, because that would threaten their current revenue stream from daily antidepressants that mostly don't work. Go go privatized science!
And the prescribing doctors would lose their revenue stream from "med maintenance". Schemers!
So we actually CAN put our faith in privatized science to get this drug through the system to help people, right?
