Snap Pea Sensei
Joyce Park stashed this in Food
Behold the man who bred the sugar snap pea (actually the only vegetable I don't like!). He is 80 years old, and he describes himself as "in my glory" sitting in his pea fields dreaming up new innovations in pea breeding. In a culture that lauds early achievement and quick results, he thought nothing of spending TEN YEARS fertilizing his pea plants with tweezers to perfect the sugar snap pea.
I can never plant enough of these. I love them.
Do you fertilize your snap peas with tweezers to perfect them like this guy does?
