They're beautiful. I love their freckles. 

The last girl is so cute. My family has the albinism gene and I remember being surprised to find that black families can have albinism as well. A shock for the families when the baby is born without pigment and thus white as snow.

The last girl really is cute.

I had no idea that any family can have the albinism gene, Beth. 

Just makes me challenge my own assumptions more.

Yes, the misunderstanding of albinism and the portrayal of those with albinism as monsters has been long running. I can remember laughing at the Chevy Chase/Goldie Hawn movie with "the albino." Fast forward to today and my nephew with albinism recently graduated from Brown with a degree in neuroscience.

Wow, hopefully he can show the world great things -- and help the world understand albinism.
