How Long Is Too Long for a Résumé?

Author advises to leave off years of study if the graduation date was more than 5 years ago. What a strange advice!
I do like the suggestion that LinkedIn profile can have all those extra bits that did not make it to a resume but are important to a candidate for any reason.
I like that suggestion to move most things to LinkedIn, too.
A resume should be short and sweet.
As for whether to leave out years of study, I think that's personal preference.
I prefer to leave it off. In general fewer things on a resume is better.
Like Hemingway, you have to know what you are leaving out - to make your resume more "muscular".
That is a very good way of putting it.
A resume isn't for saying everything; it is for getting enough interest to open a discussion.
