Author advises to leave off years of study if the graduation date was more than 5 years ago.  What a strange advice!

I do like the suggestion that LinkedIn profile can have all those extra bits that did not make it to a resume but are important to a candidate for any reason.

I like that suggestion to move most things to LinkedIn, too.

A resume should be short and sweet.

As for whether to leave out years of study, I think that's personal preference.

I prefer to leave it off. In general fewer things on a resume is better.

Like Hemingway, you have to know what you are leaving out - to make your resume more "muscular".

That is a very good way of putting it.

A resume isn't for saying everything; it is for getting enough interest to open a discussion.
