A well-known technologist and VC tries out Theranos for himself and is disturbed.
Which is worse: lack of consistency in results or lack of response from the company?
The Theranos numbers have two problems: They deviate significantly from the Stanford numbers and, more important, they deviate from themselves over a 24 hour period. Glucose concentration can vary hourly, not so platelets or hematocrit.
Eh... how can I put this nicely? The way he went about his commentary sort of suggested to me that he didn't want a nice "Dear customer, we hear you!" form letter. He seemed perfectly happy that she didn't reply, so he could put the company on blast.
I agree, it's as if he wanted to put them on blast.
