Ugh. Mitt Romney continues saying things, publicly, despite the direct correlation between his continued insistence upon doing so and his dwindling likability. The presidential candidate told a crowd of what are presumably working-class voters in the swing state of Ohio: “Don’t be expecting a huge cut in taxes, because I’m also going to lower deductions and exemptions.” If you’re very quiet, you can still hear the cheers of “TAX-ES! TAX-ES!” echoing from the economically depressed Midwest.

EXPENSIVE! "Anything else? Ah yes! Romney is now the new, entirely avoidable antagonist of life-saving emergency-room physicians, thanks to his comment on last week’s 60 Minutes that if people need health care so badly, they can visit the emergency room. This remark sickened—internist joke!—the American College of Emergency Physicians, which released a statement that “emergency care is not health insurance.”
