The man who helped sequence the human genome now wants to charge you $25,000 to do it for you -- plus to scan your body, blood, brain, and microbiome at a level of detail that makes for a great demo app but possibly has few real-world health-saving applications. Rich guinea pigs, step right up!

I wonder how quickly this becomes affordable for everyone. 10 years? 30 years?

The article does note that stepping on a scale likely does as much good as a full human genome scan.
