Should your kids learn to code?
Joyce Park stashed this in Code
Great perspective on this question from outside Silicon Valley, in fact outside the country. Personally I think it's more important for kids to do something that fewer and fewer of them seem to do: just make SOMETHING all the time, whether in code or meatspace -- because our current practices of software development may not be around in 20 years, but making things will still be important.
This is why the maker movement -- and, consequently 3D Printers -- are so exciting, too.
