There are a lot of lessons in this little video.

Yep.  "When people who don't know about reddit ask me why I like going on it, I point to posts like these. We have a part-time urine mathematician on our hands. A pee wizard, if you will. Name me another website that can say the same."  My sentiments exactly.

True, plus that wizard's analysis was quite entertaining. 

First off, I'm going to assume that the guy in purgatory is about 25-30 years old.

An olympic sized pool has a volume of 2.5 million liters.

0.8% of that is 20,000 liters.

Average daily urination is between .8 and 2 liters, but since "Santa Claus" implies that his urination is on the higher end, we'll take 2 liters.

This means that he has been alive for roughly 10,000 days, or 27.397 years. Everything seems to check out, carry on.
