Unfortunately there are too many people who believe that science is something to be believed in. And they can vote.

What do we have to do to show people they should believe in science?
Very interesting philosophical question. I tried to teach this concept in my mysticism class, of all things, and found the idea very difficult to get across to those who didn't already believe it. James Carse, philosopher of religion, addresses this question powerfully in his book THE RELIGIOUS CASE AGAINST BELIEF. Thanks so much for posting this!
