Why is the solution to "the process of obtaining an ID is too cumbersome" "we shouldn't require IDs" instead of "we should make IDs less inconvenient to obtain"?
A few reasons:
- voter ID's are a canard, their entire conception and purpose is voter suppression
- the size of the problem is infinitesimally small
- the cost of doing massive ID administration infrastructure expansion seems awfully silly compared to preventing 1 or 2 illegitimate votes.
I understand the logic but I'm still frustrated by it.
