Representatives from 47 of the world's most disadvantaged nations have pledged to generate all their future energy needs from renewables.
It's interesting how a lot of these countries are poised to leap from pre-industrialization to all-green, without ever having gone through the big messy middle part.
It reminds me of how poor many countries went from no-telephones to everyone-has-an-iphone and 4g wireless internet, without ever going through stuff like landlines, dial-up, etc.
