Right, if you measure by volume, not calories. Several of the modern Paleo-ish folks (like Paul Jaminet) do acknowledge this. Many less science-based Paleo approaches are way lower in carbs and plant foods than the available science has been telling us... they actually tell people to eat more protein and fat *by volume* which is like a caveman cartoon (the guy with the giant drumstick in one arm on the Paleo bimbo, carried by the hair, in the other one).
Basically, no matter the diet, vegetables should be featured more.
