My Dinners With Harold McGee
Joyce Park stashed this in Books
The story of _On Food and Cooking_ turns out to be far more touching and amazing than I ever suspected. In this day and age where "celebrity chefs" are made by television rather than through depth of knowledge, OFAC is a throwback to the age of Julia Child and Waverley Root -- when years of research in the library and the kitchen were considered worthwhile in the search for lasting knowledge of food.
I don't cook but I am fascinated by him so I bought that book.
Unfortunately I lent it to Yi before I had a chance to read it.
Your stash is a great story about that book. Thank you for finding that story!
