Brussels sprouts today are different than those available 20 years ago... they've been specially bred for less bitterness.

but i love the bitterness. probably because i am the bitterness.

our sprout dealer says that he's getting our supply from mexico this time of year (which is weird if November is the peak harvest season in No Cal). they seem smaller and not quite as tasty.
