Libra co-developer Hayden Davis’s text message claiming he had control over Argentine President Javier Milei, is circulating the internet, with many questioning the involvement of Milei in the Libra crypto scam.
Hayden Davis’s, CEO of Keisler Ventures, text message where he brags about buying a ticket to Argentine President Javier Miles’s inner government months before the scandalous Libra token launch and crash is becoming viral. The text message revealed him saying that he could control Mili because of the payment he had been delivering to Karina Milei, an eminent personality in Milei’s government, who is also the sister of Javier Milei.
However, with the spread of the news, Davis’s related once denied the news saying he doesn’t remember such a thing, nor does his phone have records advocating the act. Karina Milei, whom Davis mentioned in the text holds the post of General Secretary of the Presidency of Argentina, neither she nor her office has not responded to the news yet.
Argentine President Javier Milei Faces Backlashes After Promoting Libra
Argentine President Javier Milei faces severe criticism for promoting Libra, a cryptocurrency whose price tanked soon after its launch. Milei promoted the coin on his social media platform, sharing the link to the website where they can purchase the coin. He also mentioned that the coin was designed to support Argentine business. However, he deleted the post later, knowing the allegation revolving around the coin.
Soon after the launch, Libra’s price rose to more than $5, which is a massive surge from the $0.22 launch value. However, within a few hours of the launch, buyers began to notice a sale of the coin from early buyers, which tanked the price by around 70%. According to reports, eight digital wallets linked to the early trading of Libra cashed out $107 million.
This lineup of events has created a storm in social media, many claiming coin developers or persons who knew about the project prior to the launch had made a rug pull knowing that the price would surge soon after the launch, allowing them to make high profits.
Javier denied his involvement with the coin saying that his rivals are taking advantage of the situation and there is no story behind it.
Federal Judge To Investigate The Token Launch And Milei’s Involvement
The plummeting of the Milei-backed crypto, Libra turned out to be a scandal, around $99 million worth of cryptocurrency was withdrawn by eight digital wallets linked to the Libra token’s creator.
Javier launched the later-turned-scandal project through his social media page, however, he deleted the post later claiming he had no link with the cryptocurrency. The coin shot up around $5 and declined steeply just a few hours after the launch. The sudden decline and Javier’s promotion have made many suspicious about the token.
According to reports, a federal judge is investigating the toke launch and the involvement of Milei in the project, which was even worse by the spread of Hayden Davis’s text message. However, they both denied the claim.
This is not the first time a President has promoted a coin, Donald Trump who was always a crypto enthusiast launched the coin under his name, $TRUMP last month. The coin gained a massive surge soon and later declined, similar to any other meme coin.
