Fortnite’s New Season

The coin is added as an in-game currency for high-tier haul in Fortnite.
In the marketing video posted on Instagram and TikTok where Fortnite has millions of followers, a person advises people to buy Dill Bits on the black market, to which the host responds not to take financial advice from a pickle. Though the coin has no official ties with the game, the Solana meme coin plunged 4,300% hitting a market cap of $4.78 million following the video. However, declined to $145,000 as the initial attention faded, adding relevance to the news anchor’s claim ‘not to take financial advice from a pickle’.
Deadrop Users Get Refunds
Deadrop is a vertical extraction game developed by Youtuber Dr: Disrespect and his upstart game studio Midnight Society. Following the Midnight Society demise, the Deadrop game was discontinued, and now users have started claiming refunds for early access passes through their banks.
The game studio had sold passes to its users to grant early access to the platform, including $50 NFTs and multiple non-NFT passes at a price ranging from $20 and $30. Users claim that they failed to receive the products they paid for and require refunds.
The buyers of $25 worth of Tower Key, which gave users access to the game early, claim that they didn’t receive the ‘Season o battle pass’ which was expected to be delivered along with the full game, and highlighted that the items were not available for use and were not able to be traded as promised by the platform.
Players have utilized Midnight Society’s abandoned Discord server to spread information on how to successfully get a refund for their purchases. The users received refunds after contacting their banks.
The Midnight Society was shut down at the end of January 2025, following the co-founder Dr Disrespect was fired from the company due to allegations of inappropriate communications with minors.
