"There are no shortcuts. NONE." ~ @MCuban
While reading Mark Cuban's opus How to Get Rich I was struck by his line, "It doesn't suck to be rich."
According to Mark, the best entrepreneurs:
Save. "The first step to getting rich is having cash available. Save your money. Save as much money as you possibly can."
Learn. "The second rule for getting rich is getting smart. Investing your time in yourself and becoming knowledgeable about the business of something you really love to do."
Be patient. "This is not a short term project. We aren’t talking days. We aren’t talking months. We are talking years. Lots of years and maybe decades. I didn’t say this was a get rich quick scheme. This is a get rich path..."
Seize an opportunity. "Wait for times of uncertainty and change in your business. The time will come."
Only have to be right once. It's worth reading Cuban's Success and Motivation notes.
It sounds simple. But it's not. There's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. Remember to look both ways before crossing the street...
