Stubby the soldier dog

This badass bull terrier was a wounded and decorated war hero who achieved the rank of sergeant -- and afterwards, the mascot of the Georgetown Hoyas!
I didn't realize that's the actual Sergeant Stubby, not a replica, in the American History Museum.
War hero AND football hero!
