My summer drink of 2009! The key is to use the best ginger beer you can procure. Hard experience has taught me that:

1) NEVER EVER try to use diet ginger beer.

2) For some reason, the best purveyor of ginger beer is Cost Plus World Market. Don't get Bundaberg though... I like Ginger Peoples product even though it's cloudy at the bottom.
