In this preview from the "Art in the Twenty-First Century" Season 6 episode, "Balance," artist Sarah Sze visits her 2011 installation and bird habitat, "Still Life with Landscape (Model for a Habitat)" at the High Line in New York City, replenishing the work's fruit and seed supply and discussing the work with High Line visitors.
You only have a few more weeks to go see the installation!
This sounds sublime:
Artist Sarah Sze is world-renowned for her intricate installations that shape space with hundreds or thousands of interconnected sculptural elements. For the High Line, Sze created an elaborate metropolis of perspectival architectural models that are bisected by the High Line path itself.
I'm sad to be missing it!
