Nice to see Kismet and Pleo clone again! Many interesting robots do not cross the chasm from research to product. Becoming a product is very difficult.

(historically) The six legged crab bot looks like a later version of Colin Angle's famous 'Genghis' which is now in the Smithsonian.

The six legged crab robot is a little too creepy looking to be a mainstream product.

It's no wonder most robots don't become products. Consumer sentiment is tricky.
