Every single speech in this election campaign is based on this fantasy. There hasn’t been a speech this year that grapples with the real world — that we live in a highly polarized, evenly divided nation and the next president is going to have to try to pass laws in that context.

Laws come from Congress, not the President, right?

And reasoning with Congress isn't like reasoning with one person. It's like reasoning with hundreds of people, each of whom has their own constituents and their own agendas.

I would say President Clinton did a great job in telling an accurate speech last night.

That Clinton speech was phenomenal. I'm still reeling!
