So why does it feel like unemployment is higher than when he took office?

Was there that much job destruction between November 2008 and June 2009?

Does it feel like that in silicon valley?

Like I said earlier, he is just breaking even on all the jobs lost since JAN2009. He still has to make up the 4.5 million jobs lost at the end of Bush's term.

Darn that's a lot of jobs lost, Jared.

Essentially, this is like digging our way out of the Great Depression of the 1930s, not like digging our way out of the 10% unemployment of the early 1980s.

And David, Silicon Valley is just like America: There are haves that are doing extremely well, and then everyone else is struggling.
